Page Springs Road Ends Harvest One Winery at a Time, From Red Barn Red to Apple Wine

There isn't one Cornville harvest festival this fall. Instead, each winery on Page Springs Road marks the end of harvest on its own weekend. The season starts with a new red release at D.A. Ranch on October 10, moves to barrel tastings and dinners in late October, all lands on the same Saturday in mid-November, and wraps up with apple wine on the Creek Deck on November 21. Through mid-November, a county paving crew on Cornville Road works only Monday through Thursday. That makes the weekend events easy to drive to and puts the weeknight ones partly inside the work window.

Here's the season in order:

Date Event Where Cost

Wed–Sun through Oct 31 Mortimer Farms pumpkins in the vines D.A. Ranch Pumpkins for sale

Thu, Oct 22 Sip & Crave dinner Page Springs Cellars $69
Sat, Oct 24 Harvest Dinner, 6:30 p.m. Oak Creek Vineyards Not listed
Fri, Oct 30 Halloween Carnival Oak Creek School Free
Fri–Sun, Nov 13–15 Verde Valley Pottery Festival D.A. Ranch $25 Friday, free weekend

The relay starts with a new vintage at D.A. Ranch

D.A. Ranch is first. Its Harvest Weekend on October 10 and 11 celebrates the end of harvest season and the vineyard crew's year of work. It also releases the newest Red Barn Red vintage. The tasting is a vertical of Red Barn Red from 2022 through 2024. The pour list also includes select Collective Series and reserve library wines that the ranch says are usually available only through the Arizona Wine Club. Hours on the ranch's events page are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Music runs both days. Pick & Holler plays Saturday at 11 a.m. and Sister & The Sun at 2 p.m. Joe Baker plays Sunday at 11 a.m., followed by Nick & Rosie at 2 p.m. Pizzeria Ivey, Savories Mobile Gourmet and CottonTails Cotton Candy will be on site all weekend. The weekend closes with a ticketed stargazing event at 8 p.m. Sunday.

If you can't make that weekend, D.A. Ranch is still a fall stop. Pumpkins from Mortimer Farms are back among the vines for all of October and are for sale at the ranch all month. Visit Sedona's listing puts that pumpkin season at October 8 to 31, 2026, Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The tasting room at 1900 Dancing Apache Road is open Wednesday through Sunday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

A week later, the 2026 vintage comes out of the barrel

Harvest Weekend celebrates wine that's already in the bottle. Six days later, Page Springs Cellars pours the wine that isn't. Tap the Cask on Saturday, October 17, is a barrel tasting with stories from this year's harvest. Tickets are $29, and there are three sessions: 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., 1:30 to 3 p.m., and 4 to 5:30 p.m. The winery's Q3 newsletter calls it a firsthand look at the 2026 vintage, with special pricing on the yet-to-be-bottled wines you taste.

That makes October 10 to 17 the week when finished wine and unfinished wine are both being poured on the corridor. At D.A. Ranch you can taste three finished years of one red, 2022 through 2024. At Page Springs Cellars, 1500 N. Page Springs Road, you can taste the 2026 vintage still in barrel.

Next comes dinner. Sip & Crave on Thursday, October 22, is a four-course food-and-wine dinner in the Page Springs Cellars Member's Lounge, 6 to 8 p.m., at $69 per person. Two nights later, Oak Creek Vineyards & Winery at 1555 Page Springs Road has a Harvest Dinner at 6:30 p.m. on its October calendar. The listing gives no price or menu.

On that same Saturday, October 24, Page Springs Cellars' own event is in Phoenix. Pour Decisions: The Prohibition Edition takes place at The DeMund House, 4 to 8 p.m. If you want to stay close to home that night, Oak Creek's Harvest Dinner is the event on Page Springs Road.

The next weekend leaves wine behind. Oak Creek School holds a free Halloween Carnival on Friday, October 30.

The paving crew's schedule shapes the weeknights

Every event from Harvest Weekend through November 12 overlaps with a road project. Yavapai County and Asphalt Paving & Supply are resurfacing the entire length of Beaverhead Flat Road and Cornville Road, from Kimberley's Way to the ADOT I-17 interchange. The work includes crack seal, full-depth removal and replacement, a 2-inch overlay and new guardrail. The county's project notice was published July 8. It sets the schedule as July 13 through November 12, 2026, Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. One lane stays open at all times, but expect lane shifts, reduced speeds and flagging.

Lined up against the event calendar, those hours split the season cleanly:

  1. Friday through Sunday events are outside the posted work days. That covers Harvest Weekend, Tap the Cask, the Oak Creek Harvest Dinner, the Halloween Carnival and the whole mid-November weekend.
  2. Thursday evenings at Page Springs Cellars partly overlap. The winery pours $5 draft wine every Thursday from 5 to 7 p.m., and on first Thursdays that hour becomes Breaking Bread Locals' Night, with complimentary small bites. The posted work window ends at 5:30, so a 5 p.m. arrival falls inside its last half hour. October's first Thursday has passed. The next Breaking Bread is November 5, which is still within the project dates.
  3. The 6 p.m. Sip & Crave start comes after the posted hours end. That applies on October 22.
  4. The last scheduled work day is Thursday, November 12. The county number for updates is 928-771-3183, and since the notice dates from July, it's worth calling before you count on that end date.

November 14 is the one Saturday when everything overlaps

The day after the paving is scheduled to finish starts the busiest weekend of the season. The Verde Valley Pottery Festival, hosted by D.A. Ranch, runs November 13 to 15. It features 15 Arizona-connected potters, plus food, wine, music, demonstrations and kids' activities. First Pick Friday on November 13, 4 to 6 p.m., is ticketed. Saturday runs 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and both days are free. D.A. Ranch lists the First Pick ticket at $25.

The free Old Tyme Country Fair is also that Saturday, November 14. So is the Page Springs Cellars Fall Inner Circle gathering for club members. And in Old Town Cottonwood, Walkin' on Main runs 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The free festival's winery lineup includes Oak Creek Vineyards and Page Springs Cellars.

That's three free events across two towns on one Saturday, and some of the Page Springs Road wineries are pouring in Cottonwood that day. The pottery festival is also on Sunday, which gives you a less crowded day at D.A. Ranch.

The relay ends with apples

The last stop is back at Page Springs Cellars. Cores & Corks on Saturday, November 21, runs 2 to 6 p.m. on the Garden Terrace and Creek Deck. Entry is free. There will be apple wines and apple desserts, picnicking in the orchard and live music, with food and drinks for purchase. Two nights earlier, on Thursday, November 19, the final Sip & Crave of the season is another four-course pairing dinner at $69.

The relay starts with red grapes on October 10 and ends with orchard fruit six weekends later. If you're there on a regular afternoon, the Page Springs Cellars Corkscrew Gallery is now free to enter during business hours. It shows corkscrews dating back to the 1760s.

These places are open on non-event days too, at their listed hours:

  • Page Springs Cellars is open Sunday through Wednesday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Thursday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
  • Javelina Leap Vineyard & Winery at 1565 Page Springs Road lists daily tasting hours of 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Up The Creek Bistro & Wine Bar at 1975 N. Page Springs Road serves lunch and dinner Wednesday through Sunday, from 11 a.m. until close.
  • Brewha Social Eatery & Market at 1160 S. Page Springs Road opens at 8:30 a.m. every day except Wednesday, when it's closed. It stays open until 9 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
  • Page Springs Hatchery lists hours of 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily, except Thanksgiving and Christmas, with a visitor center and a self-guided nature trail along Oak Creek.

For a Cornville vacation rental, a corridor that has something on the calendar almost every weekend from October 10 to November 21 is part of the booking story. If you own property along Page Springs Road or are thinking about buying there, and want to model how the harvest calendar could fit into your occupancy and nightly-rate assumptions, Martin de Bókay can go through the numbers with you.
